I'm actually just reading a few of your posts and I'm sitting here in tears because I feel the same way you do about some of the things you wrote in your blogs. Being this way truly HURTS, I always ask GOD why am I like this, what did I do wrong, I feel like he's punishing me and I don't know why. I'm very sad and If I had one wish in the world it woudnt be to be rich, it would be to be able to talk to all kinds of people and not be so dag on shy. I know this shyness is holding me back from all kinda wonderful things I could have been. It sucks.
DIARY OF A SHY BLACK WOMAN...A.K.A. PAINFULLY SHY'S RESPONSE:
I feel the same way at times. It seems like such an easy thing to get over in the eyes of others but they don't realize how difficult anxiety is to get over.
Look, you now know you are not alone. So don't feel defeated. I am trying to put up many resources on my myspace page http://www.myspace.com/diaryofashyblackwoman
and my spruz site: http://painfullyshy.spruz.com/
I will keep updating my blog at http://www.diaryofashyblackwoman.blogspot.com/ and moreover I will soon start putting myself out there via video blogs on Youtube.
My youtube link is: http://youtube.com/painfullyshytv
I feel so passionate about this and I feel some of the people who have the best things to contribute to this world...can't because of anxiety...and I want to help us break through these chains and feel like we can be free and we can live like we were meant to be.
Thank you so much for writing...
I am going to post your email on the blog but I will keep it anonymous.

Silda Wall Spitzer

She deserves better. I don't know much about her because the media is putting the majority of its research towards Ashley Alexandra Dupre but she should not feel ugly or less of a woman because of what her husband has done. That is easier said than done but she has to find a way to rise above this and make a name for herself like Hillary Clinton has done. And although I am leaning towards Obama in the political front (AND NOT BECAUSE HE'S BLACK BUT BECAUSE HE'S DAMN GOOD)...I have to give Hillary her props for rising above the humiliation that her husband caused.
I feel bad for Silda Wall Spitzer but I know that she will come full circle one day but right now she is going through a hell of a lot.
Until then...

Rachel Ray Doesn't Trust Quiet People
On 9/13/07, I saw Rachel Ray on TV saying that she doesn't trust quiet people. Which I wrote down as a reminder and came across that reminder today and thought I'd share with my readers.
Alot of people feel the way she does about quiet people. Ever heard the saying "its always the quiet ones?"
This explains why many people seem to automatically feel like people with social anxiety are strange or they are conceited. They group us with psychopaths to a certain extent and don't trust us.
What are we going to do about this stereotype. We are amongst the sweetest people anyone can ever come across but we are just extremely nervous to speak up.
I think its time you all meet me at my painfullyshy.spruz.com acct and join my chatroom. I have not had many visits to that site yet and am trying to create a discussion about this and other problems.
Also, I contacted the author of several books on Anxiety related subjects to join me on my radio show. I am waiting for her to contact me back and I will then make this my FIRST show.
I want to make it interesting and she has SOOOO many good tips and hopefully I can take notes while I'm hosting the show.
Until then...
